Opening up the lounge and kitchen created an open plan family room for this young family. New graphite framed glass doors increased the light and gave a lovely view over the garden from the kitchen. The owner wanted to have an island but there was no room so a built-in island was the answer, with seating for casual family meals and a small office area. A shallow tall unit alongside the oven gives valuable larder space and also hides the pier between the two halves of the room. We even managed to squeeze in an American fridge freezer, a must-have on the client's wishlist. |
