Keeping to a simple L shaped layout in pale grey opened up this light filled kitchen whilst the contrasting deep Farrow and Ball Hague Blue island added a touch of drama. With a built in wine rack, storage and space for stools this mini island gave the owners a place to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee without taking up too much room. The oak worktop and wine rack add warmth to match the inside of the glazed display unit. An adjoining utility room, which can be seen from the open doorway in the kitchen, was fitted in matching units with the open shelving and coat racks painted in the same dark blue. An ugly boiler was hidden away behind a bespoke tall cabinet.
